University of Cambridge, Department of Engineering

Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme (UROP)

UROPs offer an opportunity to participate in the Universitys internationally leading research activities, giving students the chance to consider research as a possible career. Placements are usually for 10 weeks, and you can apply to any project of interest in the participating Departments (below).

For more details, see the respective "Notes" links in the menu on the left hand side of the page.

UROPs are available to undergraduate students currently studying at any Department in the University of Cambridge. However, students must have a minimum of one full academic year of their undergraduate course to complete.

Several Departments in the University organise UROPs. The links below indicate the relevant 'UROP Administrator' in the respective departments who will handle the related paperwork (e.g. funding, student payments, safety forms etc.) as well as answer any queries.
